Known as “The Charlotte Artist”, Nick Napoletano has taken to spray painting to show how art can influence and encourage positivity. His most recent work can be found in Queen City, North Carolina on the North Tryon Corrdior. The work is a mural that features several ethnically diverse, real women. The inspiration for the piece comes from the public, that being whatever issues are pertinent to society. In this case, Nick was inspired by the recent Women’s March, and decided to create his work around the idea of empowerment. Encouraging diversity in his community plays a large role in Nick’s art, and he hopes to continue this idea in future pieces.
